Romeo and Juliet RSC 2018

If any of Shakespeare’s plays can be said to belong to the young, then this is it – and Erica Whyman’s enthusiastically received RSC production from 2018 is hugely youthful, irresistibly dynamic and at times edgily contemporary.
This screening (by special permission of the RSC) offers us a rare chance to experience some of the vigour and verve of a production which regularly provoked standing ovations from enthusiastic audiences in Stratford and London, as well as raising a host of issues for discussion among critics.
